The Birthday Present story had an intense beginning that grabs your attention and you find it impossible to stop reading . You want to know how is this going to end. I was able to see Manuela walking and Scott ‘s red face. Interesting and intense. I am sure some of the readers, have seeing this fight before somewhere in a street , anywhere in the world.

The Birthday Present by Willer de Oliveira was a short story that I feel many people can relate to in a crazy kind of way. Aside from the horrible way Scott talks to Manuela I feel that you can really get a feel of the strong emotion between the two the way the story is written. The ending came so abruptly it makes you want to know more about how their story ends. Great read!
