Joy Bondurant is a photographer by day and a writer at night. She is currently writing a love trilogy. Her love of reading is what inspires her to write. She is drawn to unusual tales herself, so she writes the types of stories she would like to read. Check out her blog at joybondurant.wordpress.com

J.C.G. Goelz has published about 70 scientific papers, been an associate editor of a scientific journal, had four plays produced that were selected in competitions, and has had three short stories accepted by Tincture, Ares, and an anthology by Fey Press.

Ana Prundaru, born in Romania, has lived all over Europe and Japan. A translator and legal advisor by profession, she splits her time between creative endeavors, volunteering and working. Her newest project is the children’s book “Roar to Friendships” that aims to raise awareness about endangered animals. Ana’s work appeared in Fjords Review, Haiku Journal, Toad, Feminist Wire and elsewhere. Personal website: www.a-prundaru.wix.com/portfolio

Melissa Saari is not just a short story writer. She has dived into poetry, song writing, screenwriting, and other fields with gusto. She does romance, like this submission, but also fantasy and horror. In her writing she has tried to capture the heartache of life, but also the beauty and love. Inspired by her Finnish heritage, she is currently working on many different stories inspired by the fairy tales and legends of Finland.

Peter Garland, born in Ireland, came to America at twelve years old. After a few years on Long Island, New York, his family settled in San Francisco. Upon graduation from high school, he and his brothers got caught up in the Vietnam War. After returning home, Peter went to U.C. Berkeley, graduated with honors and took a job as a Navy analyst. Fifteen years later he began another career as public high school teacher. About to start teaching at the college level, he was struck by severe arthritis and now stays home and pursues a successful freelance writing career.
