Futures present
crystal children
with their entitled dreams and ice
thunder in their eyes
spies uncover pupils screaming
to take the path more trampled
when journey may behold the fairer still
ample life with unending freedom
to travel
the ravages of youth
unravel character and unfetter virtue
better to earn the prize not given
upon the day of birth
