He is the author of the fantasy novel The Shepherd King Chronicles: Foundation Stone (Beith David Publishing, 2010). The second in the series is due out soon. Elliotte Rusty Harold is originally from New Orleans, where he returns periodically in search of a decent bowl of gumbo. However, he currently resides in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn with his wife Beth and their dog Thor. His short fiction has appeared in Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine, T. Gene Davis’s Speculative Blog, SFComet, and multiple anthologies. He has also written over twenty nonfiction books for various publishers, most recently The JavaMail API and Java Network Programming, fourth edition, both from O’Reilly.
David R. Downing lives a dual life—laboratory informatics professional by day, fanatical writer by night. You may come across David typing frantically in some hotel lobby, airport waiting area, or cramped airplane seat. He travels frequently for his day job and it is often while on the road that his better efforts surface. He has several stories published in The Sword Review, Forgotten Worlds, and New Realm magazines. His first novel The Executioner, featuring Kalat—the dark assassin from a series of fantasy short stories—is represented by Trident Media Group. Check out David’s author page at davidrdowning.com.
